Memorial Weekend

We decided that since we weren't able to get hauled out before Memorial Weekend, we'd go ahead and do our annual trip to Taku Harbor with our boating friends.  We had a blast!  The SHAD handled well and for the first time in a while I was warm, dry and slept well while boat camping.  I have to say she was the talk of the dock while we were out there.

Dave and the guys built a canopy over the bow so we'd have somewhere dry to be if it started raining and it turned into quite the party pad!  I think we blew everyone away when we brought out the fire pit and had a toasty campfire on the bow!

So the question of the hour is how long did it take us to get out there?  Well, I think we were cruising around 5kts, which got us out there in about 3 hours 45 minutes.  Not too bad.
