The Bottom is Done!

We've been sandblasting and painting since Wednesday and I'm excited to say that the bottom of the hull is now DONE!!

Ty and Mark will be starting on the sides tomorrow and will go until they run out of sand. Unfortunately we don't have much left and the new order won't be here until Wednesday.

Done!
The rain has been pretty much relentless and we now have a lake and black sand beach under the boat. Too bad it's not hot and dry out; that sand would be nice and warm!

Dave has been getting in some time on the forklift this week, hauling pallets of blasting sand.

We purchased a couple of bags of sand from a guy who was blasting in the yard a couple of months ago when we first got there.  Unfortunately one of the bags of sand is really wet and we won't be able to use it.  We were able to find two pallets of sand at Agpro however, they don't deliver.  Luckily our friend Kristan was able to pick up the pallets and deliver them to us at the boat.  A big thank you to Kristan for taking time out of his busy morning to help us!!

The sandblaster is blowing dust all over the place; the topside of the boat is a mess! There is dust everywhere! I'm so glad we got the house wrapped up before we started this part of the project.
