We're Sandblasting!

Paul finished applying the final coat of roofing before we started the sandblasting. He added rubber granules so there would be some grip to the roof. This will really help if I'm up there taking pictures!

We finished wrapping the house in cardboard and covered the whole thing in visqueen to protect it.

We got started on the sandblasting yesterday and managed to finish about 1/3 of the bottom of the hull and were able to get a barrier coat of paint on too.  The sandblasting is going a little slower than we expected, in part due to equipment issues we've had.  The filters that draw the water out of the air are old and dirty and should have been replaced months ago.  Unfortunately we can't just run down to the store to buy new ones as no one in Juneau carries anything like that. The person who owns the equipment assures us that he can get filters here quickly, so in the meantime we'll just power through.  Our other issue is that we're in a rainforest and it's raining, so the air is super humid right now.

Misty all geared up.  Of course I had to quote Darth Vader while wearing the mask
